What makes Pico Hybrid Laser Treatment different from other lasers?
Pico Hybrid Laser treatment has shorter pulse lengths than standard lasers, resulting in a shorter treatment time due to its shorter pulse duration, and treat skin problems more effectively in less time.
Pico Hybrid Laser treatment typically requires fewer treatment sessions and shorter recovery times, though this varies depending on the severity of the skin problem. The treatment does not harm the surrounding skin and has almost no discomfort because of the fast and brief pulses. Pico Hybrid Laser is also less painful than other laser procedures, and most patients do not even need to use topical numbing cream.
How does it work?
Pico Hybrid Laser targets the melanin (pigments) in the cells. It fires with an ultra-short pulse duration (Known as Picoseconds! “Pico” in Pico Laser refers to picoseconds = one trillionth of a second!) to shatter skin pigmentation particles into dust, this allows your body to naturally clear the pigments easily and quickly – resulting in improvement of the skin pigmentation.
In addition to reducing pigments, PICO Hybrid Laser also brightens skin and treats uneven skin tone, by reducing the number of pigment cells through laser, the skin will enjoy a brightening effect and lighter tone.
FAQ
A treatment typically last between 15-30mins, depending on the condition or treatment area.
The treatment feels like tiny ant-bites on the skin. It is very tolerable. Nonetheless, we also do provide topical numbing cream prior to the treatment, should you prefer a more comfortable experience.
Brightening can be seen in as little as 2 to 3 treatments. Depending on severity of pigmentation and lifestyle factors, an improvement of 70-90% is expected after 10 sessions.
There is a minimal to no downtime. Some patients may experience slight redness or swelling which usually subsides after 1-3 hours.
